Nichlas Severins gamla hjälm. – Nichlas Severins old helmet.   Nichlas egen skiss med de ändringar han vill göra i sin design. – Nichlas own sketch of the changes he wants to make of his design.   Sedan ”tolkar” vi designen efter Nichlas önskemål. – Then we ”interpretate” the design from Nichlas requests.     Här är den Arai Gp-5k som skall skall få en omvandling. – Here is the Arai Gp-5k that are in for a makeover.   Samtliga märken och ventiler monteras bort och de detaljer som inte går att demontera maskeras. – All stickers and ducts are removed and all the details that could not be removed are covered.   Nerslipning av den blanka ytan och rengöring av hjämen för att färgen skall få fäste. – Sanding of the clear surface and cleaning of the helmet is made for the paint to grip properly.   Grunddragen i designen dras upp. – The basic lines of the design are made.   Det gula fältet sprutas först så resten av hjälmen täcks med maskering. – The yellow fields will be painted first so the rest of the helmet are covered.   Ett täckande lager gul neonfärg sprutas på. – A layer of neon yellow is applied.   Outline på det gula fältet maskerades eftersom vi vill ha en neongul linje mellan skuggningen och outlinen i silver. På bilden håller maskeringen till outlinen på att plockas bort. – The outline of the yellow field is masked because a line of neon yellow will be shown between the shadows and the silver outline. On the picture the masking is being removed.   Maskeringen borttagen, det gula är klart. – The masking are removed, the yellow part is done.   Dags för nästa fält, men först en silver outline på det gula fältet och ”glorian”. Vi maskerar ytorna, sprutar på silver och täcker sedan silverlinjen. – Time for the next field, but first a silver outline of the yellow area and the ”halo”. We mask the areas, apply the silver and then cover the outline.   Det stora blå och grönblå färgerna sprutas på och skuggas ihop. – The large blue and green/blue colours are applied and faded together.   Linjemönstret på hjälmen dras upp och man börjar få en föraning om hur det färdiga resultatet kommer att bli. – The line pattern is made and you can get an idea of what the result will look like.   Vi börjar med skuggorna som sprutas med en mörkare färg, i detta fall mörk blått/violett. – We start with the shadows that are made with a darker colour, in this case dark blue/violett.   De ljusa partierna maskeras och sprutas med vitt. – The bright areas are masked and shaded in white.   Det stora ljusa partiet på sidan. – The large bright area on the side.   Skuggor och högdragar är nu klara. - Shadows and bright areas are done.   Än så länge är vi inte nöjda, för att få till det speciella mönster som Nichlas har på toppn av sin hjälm så måste även linjerna tonas med vitt och grönt. Vi börjar med de vita linjerna. – So far we are not satisfied, so to create the characteristic pattern on the top of Nichlas helmet we also have to fill the lines with fades in white and green.   En efter en maskeras och målas de. – One by one they are masked and painted.   De neon gröna linjerna maskeras och målas. – The neon green lines are masked and painted.   ..å några linjer till. Här har även de Svenska tre kronorna tillkommit. - ...and a few more lines. Here has also the Swedish three crones been applied.   Maskeringen tas bort så att man kan se hela hjälmen. – The masking has been removed so we can see the whole helmet.   Än en gång måste vi täcka nästan hela hjälmen då ”glorians” inline maskeras och sprutas i samma blå som underdelen på hjälmen. – Once again we have to cover almost the whole helmet when the ”halos” inline are masked and painted in the same blue colour as the bottom of the helmet.   Avmaskeras ännu en gång. Nu när även namnet kommit på så återstår inte mycket. – The masking is removed once again. Now when the name also has been painted there is not much to add.   Dock återstod ventilerna, så de lackas och mönstret passas ihop med resten. – But the ducts remained, so they are painted and the pattern is being fitted to the rest of the helmet.   Så här ser det ut från ovan. – This is what it looks like from the top.   Nu återstår endast klarlack. Första lagret sputas på och torkar. – Now only the clear paint remains. The first layer is applied and dries.   Hjälmen mellanslipas och görs redo för andra omgången klarlack. – The helmet is sanded between the layers of clear paint and is being prepared for the second layer.   Klarlackad för andra och sista gången, så nu har vi plockat bort all maskering. - The clear paint has been applied for the second and last time, so now we have removed all masking.   Nu är hjälmen ihopmonterad och klar för leverans till Nichlas. – Now the helmet completely mounted and ready to be delivered to Nichlas.
